The commissioner of Aweil East County in Northern Bahr El Gazal state has issued a directive to inform people to avoid selling commodities in polythene bags.\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Ding Aher Ngong told this publication on Tuesday that the directive aims at reducing death of livestock, such as goats and cattle, which inhale the bags while grazing.<\/p>\n He stated that the directive will come into effect as the town council in Wanyjok and other markets across the county will be convened by council officials to share the report.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is important in the name of protecting our cattle from continuous deaths as we are a cattle-keeping community. We have a high respect for cattle. We sell and do a lot of things with them.
