Central Equatoria state government has suspended all land demarcation activities in Nyamini area in Lado payam of Juba County.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n According to local order No.2\/2025, Emmanuel Tete Ezbon Simon, the Commissioner of Juba County issued that all demarcation in Nyamini area, Lado Payam, must halt.<\/p>\n \u201cI Emmanuel Tete Ezbon Simon Commissioner of Juba County, Central Equatoria state government do hereby issue this Local order for suspension of ongoing demarcation activities in Nyamini until further notice\u201d the order partly read.<\/p>\n The commission said in the order that the implementing institution must take it into consideration.<\/p>\n The order of suspension came few days after Nyangwara-Pojulu- Tijor communities and the Bari community wrangles over the said land.<\/p>\n Though Bari Community had recommended demarcation of Nyamin area in Lado payam to citizens, Nyangwara-Pojulu- Tijor communities objected, calling on the state government to halt the process.<\/p>\n Earlier this week, leaders from Nyangwara-Pojulu- Tijor communities in Lado Payam of Juba County, petitioned Central Equatoria State government to stop ongoing land allocation in Nyamini area.<\/p>\n Nyamini is located about 12 miles northwest of Juba.<\/p>\n In a statement extended to the media, Nyangwara-Pojulu Tijor community said the land being distributed is still under dispute between their community and Kuda Lodimi community.<\/p>\n They called for an immediate halt to the land demarcation exercise.<\/p>\n The community also expressed concern over the exclusion of their members from the committee in charge of distributing the plots.<\/p>\n \u201cWe came to lodge our complaint with the Acting Governor because land demarcation is currently taking place in Nyamini. We demand our rightful place and reject the ongoing process,\u201d said Juma Jaden Lado, deputy chairman of the Nyangwara-Pojulu Tijor community.<\/p>\n Yapete Mogga, another community member, urged the state government to stop the distribution of land tokens and halt the demarcation process.<\/p>\n He called for the formation of a neutral committee to address the dispute and listen to all affected communities.<\/p>\n \u201cWe propose that neighboring communities Nyangwara-Pojulu Tijor, Kuda Lodimi, Yaro, Nyorja Lo Mere, Illikare, and Gurrum bring their landlords to traditionally declare and swear on ancestral land borders,\u201d Mogga demanded.<\/p>\n This petition came at the time community leaders from Nyamini and Lodimi announced they had agreed to give out 22,700 plots of land for residential and investment purposes.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Yiep Joseph Central Equatoria state government has suspended all land demarcation activities in Nyamini area in Lado payam of Juba County.
