Jonglei State government has confirmed 12 people sustained wounds following renewed violence between Ayuel and Hol communities of Twic East and Duk Counties.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n According to a report, the renewed clashes between the two communities took place on Thursday, at Bioth-agany, a disputed island.<\/p>\n Speaking to No. 1 Citizen Daily Newspaper, Simon Hoth, the Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement, who also doubles as the acting governor of Jonglei State, said the renewed clashes are associated with revenge killings.<\/p>\n “Well, it’s true we received that report, and it’s heartbreaking to learn the local communities are again murdering themselves,” he said.<\/p>\n Simon said the state government is preparing to dispatch forces to defuse tensions on the island.<\/p>\n He added there have been poor communications due to a lack of reliable network, which has made it difficult for the government to establish accurate details of the incident.<\/p>\n “We do not have really accurate details about the incident; this is due to a lack of network in the area. We have contacted them, but the network isn’t good. We don’t know now those who have perished in this incident,” Simon stated.<\/p>\n Simon stated that speed boats have been sent to gather available details of the clashes and to transport the wounded to the state headquarters.<\/p>\n “Those 12 wounded are said to be from one section, but we don’t know about the other party involved in the incident because the network couldn’t allow us to get reliable details.
