Bor Hospital has installed an X-ray and neonatal machines to address radiological issues and improve care for infants.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n According to the Bor Hospital administration, the machines come as a donation from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) through UNICEF, South Sudan’s National Ministry of Health, and humanitarian organization Tearfund.<\/p>\n Speaking to No. 1 Citizen Daily Newspaper, Dr. Bol Chaw Manyang, the medical director at Bor Hospital, says Bor State Hospital had been lacking an X-ray machine, and most of its radiological patients used to be referred to Juba for X-rays.<\/p>\n “The radiologists will handle the X-ray machine. You know, we haven’t had X-rays before, and cases that required radiological investigation before any management used to be referred to Juba. Now that won’t be the case; the services will be managed here,” he stated.<\/p>\n He says the neonatal intensive care unit setup will address the limited care for newborn children.<\/p>\n Dr. Bol says the X-ray machines will help address most radiological issues within the region.<\/p>\n He says this donation will help solve the shortage of diagnostic equipment.<\/p>\n “Our qualified pediatricians will be taking care of the neonatal intensive care unit for the infant children.
