{"id":37189,"date":"2025-07-03T10:18:23","date_gmt":"2025-07-03T08:18:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onecitizendaily.com\/?p=37189"},"modified":"2025-07-03T10:18:23","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T08:18:23","slug":"revenue-authority-embarks-on-door-to-door-taxpayer-registration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2025\/07\/03\/revenue-authority-embarks-on-door-to-door-taxpayer-registration\/","title":{"rendered":"Revenue Authority embarks on Door-to-Door taxpayer registration"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>By Jacob Onuha Nelson<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>South Sudan Revenue Authority has launched door to door taxpayer registration in Juba city.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>In a press statement issued on Tuesday, the national tax collector informed the public, business community, and all stakeholders, about a zonal registration exercise.<\/p>\n<p>According to SSRA, the registration exercise is a part of ongoing efforts to enhance domestic revenue mobilisation and taxpayer compliance.<\/p>\n<p>In the exercise, Juba City has been divided into ten operational zones, to conduct the door \u2013 to door registration of all businesses, services providers and self \u2013 employed individuals.<\/p>\n<p>Zone 1 stretches from Juba Town residence, Hai Cinema, Hai Malakal, Hai Commercial, Kator, Konyokonyo, Gabat, Hai Amarat and Nimra Talata.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, residences like Giada, Suk Sita, Atalabara, Lologo and Khor William, fall under Zone 2. zone 3 covers Jebel Area, Rock City, Nyakuron, Mauna, and Checkpoint.<\/p>\n<p>Gumbo \u2013 Shirikat represents Zone 4 denote while Munuki Area fall under Zone 5, whereas Tongpiny Area and Gudele Area are in Zone 6 and 7 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>Zone 8 covers Mia Saba, Hai Referendum Eden and New site while Zone 9 stands for UN and Diplomatic Mission\/Embassies and Gurei, Jebel Dinka and Luri are in Zone 10.<\/p>\n<p>South Sudan Revenue Authority stated that the exercise aims at developing a comprehensive and updated taxpayer register, facilitate efficient taxpayer registration and compliance monitoring. It also provides SSRA with accurate data to support tax base expansion and strategic decision \u2013 making.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo ensure every eligible business and taxpayer is recognized and supported,\u201d the SSRA statement added.<\/p>\n<p>The tax collector emphasised that the taxpayer registration is completely free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNo individual or agent is authorized to request or collect payment on behalf of the SSRA during this process, anyone found engaging in unauthorized collection of fees or impersonating SSRA official will be reported to the relevant authorities and prosecuted,\u201d it noted.<\/p>\n<p>The public is also warned not to allow any individual to access their premises unless when they present a valid SSRA identification card clearly bearing the official logo.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Jacob Onuha Nelson &nbsp; South Sudan Revenue Authority has launched door to door taxpayer registration in Juba city.
