Union of Parsons with Disabilities in Aweil East County expressed readiness to invent a wheelchair if they are provided technical training.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The Union\u2019s official spokesman, Mr. Kon Ker, said that \u201csome of us have the ability to learn how to make welding and be able to make wheelchairs,\u201d Kon stressed.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are appealing for the capacity building,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Kon said there are those who would be able to learn the skills of making beds and beads.<\/p>\n \u201cVocational training is important because we are not disabled in our brains and some part of our bodies. So, we need support, and you will not regret the results,\u201d Spokesman Kon further explained.<\/p>\n According to Kon, some of his colleagues have technical skills in bicycle and motorbike repairs.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are asking for assistance of a generator for welding so that we can be able to make ourselves wheelchairs. Some of our colleague\u2019s crawl because they don\u2019t have wheelchairs, and we would be supported with spare parts and a generator for welding. And if given training on how to make it, then we will be able to make our lives better,\u201d spokesperson, Kon Ker said.<\/p>\n \u201cRight now, we have two of our colleagues having garages in Wanyjok and Mangok markets. They only need support with spare parts and tools for repair of bicycles or motorbikes,\u201d Kon added.<\/p>\n There are over 150 people with disabilities in Aweil East County, according to the Union\u2019s spokesman, Mr. Kon Ker.<\/p>\n The Disabled Association was formed in 2018, with the aim to unite and advocate for inclusion in governance, entrepreneurship, and decision-making processes.
