Al Shaba children\u2019s hospital administration has raised alarm over stray dogs in the premises, warning that patients are at threat.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking to media, the hospital Administrator, Emmanuel Gore sounded alarm, saying four of the children brought on different ailments, have already been bitten by the stray dogs.<\/p>\n \u201cA child brought with another disease in the hospital, the dog bites. I have four children now the hospital is controlling with anti-rabies\u201d Gore said.<\/p>\n According to Gore, there are more than fifty dogs lingering the hospital compound which needed serious attention.<\/p>\n \u201cWe have more than fifty (stray) dogs in the hospital and now it has started frightening children,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n He stated that it was his concern as a public health worker and director for administration at the hospital.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the main challenge that is above my capacity to control them. I tried a lot but I failed\u201d he said.<\/p>\n \u201cI wrote to ministry of animal but failed, I wrote to security, police and wildlife because previously when we\u2019re growing up, we know that games is the one controlling the dogs\u201d he added<\/p>\n In his part, Central Equatoria State Acting Minister of Health said he would inform the state governor to give directives to the ministry of animal resources to take further action on the dogs.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is already an insecurity problem and he is the head of the security I share the information to him\u201d he emphasized.<\/p>\n Regardless of breed, temperament, or history of aggression, all dogs are capable of biting people and sometimes, bites happen without warning or provocation.<\/p>\n Some dog bites may appear to be only minor injuries, while others clearly result in significant damage to the skin, muscles, and other tissue.<\/p>\n However, because of the risk of complications, all dog bites should be looked at and treated by a doctor as soon as possible.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Lodu William Odiya Al Shaba children\u2019s hospital administration has raised alarm over stray dogs in the premises, warning that patients are at threat.
