Central Equatoria State government has vowed to provide safe environment for investment in order to improve service delivery in the state.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking during the launch of South Sudan Institute of Revenue Administration (SSIRA), Paulino Lukudu Obede reaffirmed state government’s commitment to create safe environment for investment.<\/p>\n \u201cWe will ensure that we cooperate and make a one stop shop to give environment for investment and environment for service delivery\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The Deputy Governor emphasized his state a peaceful, cooperative both the citizens and the leadership.<\/p>\n \u201cIf it\u2019s your first time to be in Central Equatoria, I wanted to say central Equatoria state is very peaceful, very cooperating citizens and the government.\u201d He added.<\/p>\n Obede urged the investors to feel free to tour some of the counties and do business within the state.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are open for business and we are calling on the investors to come and invest in central Equatoria State\u201d he added.<\/p>\n Both the national and states government are actively encouraging\u00a0foreign direct investment (FDI), especially in\u00a0oil, agriculture, construction, and telecommunications.<\/p>\n Foreign investment is growing slowly but steadily, despite the country\u2019s challenges with infrastructure, conflict, and political instability.<\/p>\n Central Equatoria State offers a wide range of advantages that make it attractive investment destination, abundance of natural resources, and fertile land, providing immense opportunities for investment in mining, and agriculture.<\/p>\n However, the country\u2019s economy is still in its early stages of development on key industries such as infrastructure, manufacturing, and tourism.<\/p>\n Speaking in the same even, Dr. Marial Dongrin Ater reaffirmed government support toward investment in the country.<\/p>\n He expressed that conducive environment for investment increase tax base in the country.<\/p>\n He added that the institute is more than a physical institution for the officials but an energy to the ongoing efforts to improve tax collection in the country.<\/p>\n \u201cThrough this institute we will have competent and ethical tax and custom professionals who will manage public resource transparently\u201d he said.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Lodu William Odiya Central Equatoria State government has vowed to provide safe environment for investment in order to improve service delivery in the state.
