Congolese President F\u00e9lix Antoine Tshisekedi has sent his South Sudanese counterpart, Salva Kiir Mayardit, a special message on July 25, 2025 bilateral relations.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n The diplomatic engagement is aimed at reinforcing relations between the two countries ahead of the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region (ICGLR) Summit scheduled for next week in Kinshasa.<\/p>\n According to South Sudan Presidential press unit (PPU), The message from Kinshasa was conveyed by Special Envoy Katharine Wagner Imbuyi, who commended the existing stability and cooperation between the two neighboring nations.<\/p>\n \u201cI brought a message from President Tshisekedi to his brother, President Salva Kiir, regarding the upcoming summit of ICGLR that is going to take place in Kinshasa next week,\u201d said Envoy Imbuyi following the meeting.<\/p>\n \u201cHis Excellency has received the message from his brother from the Democratic Republic of Congo and we will look upon his arrival in Kinshasa for the summit,\u201d she added. Katharine revealed that the two countries are committed to maintaining a strong bilateral relationship. She stated, \u201cWe have also had a discussion regarding the bilateral relationship between our two countries, that are neighbors and that have a very strong and stable relationship.\u201d<\/p>\n South Sudan\u2019s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Monday Semaya Kumba, reaffirmed South Sudan\u2019s commitment to relation collaboration and delivered a message on behalf of President Salva Kiir.<\/p>\n \u201cHis Excellency the President warmly received the message and the letter, thanked the Government of the Democratic Republic of Congo for always being there to support South Sudan,\u2019 Monday said. \u201cHe reassured Congo of our commitment as a government to continue working closely with the Democratic Republic of Congo to address issues of our mutual concerns,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" By Alan Clement Congolese President F\u00e9lix Antoine Tshisekedi has sent his South Sudanese counterpart, Salva Kiir Mayardit, a special message on July 25, 2025 bilateral relations.
