At least nine people have been confirmed dead of Cholera while forty-nine cases registered in Imehejek Administrative Area of Eastern Equatoria State.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n Imehejek Administrative Area Acting Health Director, Lobeli Mark confirming the report in a phone interview with this outlet on Sunday, said laboratory samples sent to Juba, proved positive.<\/p>\n \u201cNine dead and 49 cases, accumulative cases,\u201d Mark said.<\/p>\n Lobeli said that the Cholera cases would have increased but due to it being weekend, the health facility doesn\u2019t operate.<\/p>\n According to Lobeli, the state government has planned to conduct mass vaccination against Cholera but no date scheduled for the exercise.<\/p>\n However, earlier this year, Torit County Health Surveillance Officer, Paul Alhaj Peter Rogashiano, went with a team to investigate the cholera outbreak.<\/p>\n \u201cA team was sent for the investigation, and three presented signs and symptoms of cholera.
