The parties to the agreement have been given seven days to finalize the representation of the army\u2019s command to pave way for the graduation of the unified forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This was revealed Wednesday 16th<\/sup> February 2022, by the Minister of Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Martin Elia Lomuro after a meeting between the parties and the Sudanese Deputy Chairperson of the Sovereign Council, Muhamed Hamdan Daglo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe meeting has decided to give seven days to the parties to the agreement particularly to the President and the First Vice President and the chairman of SSOA in order for us to conclude the representation in the command of the army,\u201d Lomuro told Journalists after the meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the Sudanese leader has also proposed a new command structure which the parties are yet to deliberate on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSudan has given the proposal as to how we can share the proposal on the command because we already have ranks. We are going now to sit, with the proposal to see over it in the seven days then forces are graduated,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, the parties also listed the progress report that was filed by the Joint Defense Board (JDB) to verify the report that they have presented earlier on the forces that are in the training centres across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Lomuro, the report identified the total number of forces that had been screened and reorganized and ready for graduation, it shows that we have 50,000 forces comprising the; army, police national security, military intelligence and other organized forces in Upper Nile, Equatoria and Bahr el Ghazal regions ready for the graduation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe have two areas which are supposed to be revisited and within few days to be completed and that is Masnabira in Wau and which we have to revisit and this reorganization is including ranks.
