Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel, the Governor of Central Equatoria State.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement issued by the state press unit after the meeting yesterday, Jacob Aligo Lo-Lado, the Acting Minister of Information and Communication, said the endorsement of the budget came following deliberations by the cabinet at the State Secretariat, Juba.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Cabinet has deliberated and passed the draft budget for the 2025\/2026 fiscal year, estimated at SSP 72.3 billion,\u201d he said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The statement emphasized the approval also included the draft tax rate scheduled and the Appropriation Bill for the same period, with a number of amendments.<\/p>\n<p>It further stated the budget draft now awaits to be taken to parliament for ratification.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the budget deliberations, the statement also underlined that the Council received a security briefing from the State Minister of Local Government and Law Enforcement Agency.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the briefing highlighted a recent attack by a holdout group on an SSPDF base in Bazi, Morobo County, the previous week.<\/p>\n<p>The statement further underscored the minister&#8217;s expressed concern over the increasing threats posed by these elements to the region&#8217;s security.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Lodu William Odiya The Council of Ministers of Central Equatoria State has approved a draft budget amounting to 72.3 billion South Sudan Pounds (SSP) for the 2025\/2026 fiscal year.
