Another plane has crash-landed in Bor of Jonglei State on Thursday, the second in the country in a month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities at Bor airport say the plane which was coming from Uror County crash-landed on Wednesday in Bor town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kuot John Akech, the Director of Bor Airport said the plane coming from the Yuait of Uror County to Bor airport was carrying 12 passengers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe aircraft was coming from Yuai, Uror county to Bor and supposed to head to Juba immediately, while landing it got a problem when it touched down, there was a strong wind (a cross wind) immediately after 100 feet it got out of the runway,\u201d Kuot said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He stated that, \u201camong the 12 passengers plus the crew which is pilot and the co-pilot there was no any injury\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kuot said that the accident damaged one of the engine wings of the aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plane crashes have been common in South Sudan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This month, a plane carrying examination papers for primary eight candidates crashed in Agok Airstrip of Abyei region after it missed the runway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A cargo plane crashed near Juba International Airport last November and left five people dead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 2nd<\/sup> March 2021, a Let L-410 Turbolet of South Sudan supreme Airline crashed in Pieri, Uror County on a domestic flight to Yuai Airstrip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August 2020, eight people lost their lives, while a single passenger survived with injures when a cargo plane crashed into a farm in the Kemiru area minutes after it took off from the Juba International Airport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2015, 36 people were killed when a Soviet-era Antonov plane crashed just after takeoff from Juba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2017, 37, people had a miraculous escape after their plane hit a fire truck on a runway in Wau before bursting into flames.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At least 19 people were killed in 2018 when a small aircraft carrying passengers from Juba to Yirol crashed.
