Sudan, Sudan to investigate Killing of innocent civilians"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_39463\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-39463\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-39463\" src=\"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/AMBS-300x151.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"151\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/AMBS-300x151.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/AMBS.jpg 593w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-39463\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Ambassador Philip Jada Natana, who is the Director General for Bilateral Relation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (photo: courtesy)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong><em>By Lodu William Odiya<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Ministry of foreign affairs has yesterday revealed that the relevant institutions in South Sudan and the Sudanese government are on the move to investigate the killing of South Sudanese citizen in Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking to the media yesterday, Ambassador Philip Jada Natana, who is the Director General for Bilateral Relation relevant institutions are working with the government of Sudan to find the final report.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs to the investigation of the killing of south Sudanese in Sudan and what is the outcome so far the relevant institutions are working with the government of Sudan to find the final report and of course when we get that report the media and the South Sudanese especially the relatives of those who perish in all these unfortunate incidences\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In January this year, 29 South Sudanese people were killed by Sudan&#8217;s army or allied groups during the capture of Wad Madani city from the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF).<\/p>\n<p>South Sudan imposed a curfew overnight on Friday after\u00a0Sudanese\u00a0businesses and refugees in several urban centres, including the capital, Juba, were subjected to retaliatory attacks linked to the deaths of South Sudanese people in Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>The Sudanese foreign ministry, in a statement two days before the attacks, said the issue \u201cwill be subject to thorough investigation, and those responsible wills face fair justice\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It noted killings occurred in the Kombo Tayba area of Sudan&#8217;s Gezirah state, following the liberation of Wad Madani.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStrict high-level directives have been issued to security and law enforcement agencies to take all necessary measures to ensure that such incidents are not repeated and to decisively address any early signs of such behaviour, eliminating them at their source,\u201d it said.<\/p>\n<p>The conflict between the Sudanese army\u00a0and RSF has killed tens of thousands of civilians and displaced more than 12 million since April 2023.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Lodu William Odiya The Ministry of foreign affairs has yesterday revealed that the relevant institutions in South Sudan and the Sudanese government are on the move to investigate the killing of South Sudanese citizen in Sudan.
