The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has yesterday launched its weekly media briefing series to bridge information gap.<\/p>\n

Speaking during a press conference, Ambassador Apuk Ayuel Mayen, <\/em><\/strong>emphasized that the renewed platform aimed at strengthening engagement with the media and enhancing public awareness of South Sudan’s foreign policy.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe regard the media as a key partner in shaping public understanding and advancing the national interest through accurate and responsible reporting\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Ayuel underscored building on the Ministry’s ongoing communications with the press adding that the structured format would support regular updates, provide clarity on foreign policy priorities.<\/p>\n

Additionally, keeping the public and relevant institutions informed on key developments in South Sudan’s regional and international engagements.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis initiative reflects the Ministry’s continued commitment to effective diplomacy, institutional integrity, and the pursuit of South Sudan’s national objectives abroad\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Ayuel highlighted that the Ministry recognizes the importance of public opinion and the vital role the media as a bridge between government institutions and the citizens of South Sudan play.<\/p>\n

\u201cA well-informed public contributes to national cohesion and supports effective foreign policy\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n

She also explained that through these briefings, the Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to open communication and a principled foreign policy and constructive international engagement.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation is a cabinet-level government ministry responsible for the implementation and management of South Sudan’s foreign policy and international activities.<\/p>\n

This initiative followed series of complaint regarding the slow poor respond by foreign affairs Ministries to the media regarding matters of concern that need clarity.<\/p>\n

Just last month the Ministry has been engaging in release press statement leaving a lot of question unanswered.<\/p>\n

It is still not clear whether the Ministry will maintain constant interaction with the media as promise or it will be a one-time event.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
