The National Communication Authority (NCA) and the South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA) have partnered with N-Soft to enhance telecom oversight and boost revenue collection in the country.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from the NCA Communication Department the deal between South Sudan and N-Soft was reached on Wednesday.<\/p>\n

The agreement was signed by NCA Director General Gieth Kon Mathiang, SSRA Commissioner General Simon Akuei Deng, and N-Soft Vice President of Sales David Meseguer.<\/p>\n

This marked a major step in the government\u2019s effort to improve domestic revenue mobilization through technology-driven systems.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis partnership is a bold step toward building a transparent, technology-driven public finance ecosystem\u201d the statement partly read.<\/p>\n

According to statement, the new digital platform would provide real-time visibility of telecom revenue operations.<\/p>\n

Additionally, the statement also stated that the technology would ensure that every pound generated within the sector is accurately accounted for and remitted to the national treasury according to NCA\u2019s statement.<\/p>\n

The statement underscored the digital platform is expected to streamline revenue tracking, reduce leakages, and improve regulatory oversight in one of South Sudan\u2019s most dynamic industries.<\/p>\n

According to the statement, the SSRA emphasized that telecom revenue represents a vital source of non-oil income, and digitization will help broaden the tax base while improving service delivery.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are committed to maximizing domestic revenue collection through innovation and collaboration. This initiative reflects our dedication to sustainable growth and fiscal independence,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n

It also underlined that officials at the signing ceremony stressed that the collaboration between NCA, SSRA, and N-Soft would help the government curb underreporting and strengthen investor confidence in South Sudan\u2019s telecom sector.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, the statement stated that the partnership also aligns with broader government efforts to reduce reliance on oil revenues and external aid.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy digitizing revenue flows, South Sudan aims to improve budgetary planning and ensure that public resources are allocated efficiently\u201d the statement partly read.<\/p>\n

It also stated that the N-Soft, known for its work in digital revenue assurance across Africa and Latin America, would deploy its platform to monitor telecom transactions in real time, offering actionable insights to both regulators and tax authorities.<\/p>\n
