{"id":41357,"date":"2025-11-21T15:38:50","date_gmt":"2025-11-21T13:38:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/?p=41357"},"modified":"2025-11-21T15:48:21","modified_gmt":"2025-11-21T13:48:21","slug":"students-urge-ces-governor-to-reduce-land-grabbing-cases","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2025\/11\/21\/students-urge-ces-governor-to-reduce-land-grabbing-cases\/","title":{"rendered":"Students urge CES governor to reduce land grabbing cases"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By Jacob Onuha Nelson<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Students in the university Juba have urged the newly reappointed governor of Central Equatoria state (CES) to render\u00a0 service to the citizens.<\/p>\n<p>In an exclusive interview with Number One Citizen Daily English Newspaper\u00a0 on Thursday, Paul Bol, an engineering student at the University of Juba (UoJ) called on the governor to deliver services to\u00a0 people<\/p>\n<p>He urged the governor to address key issues like issue of land grabbing in the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, based on the appointment of the Governor of Central Equatoria, for instance now, as we have seen, our people are suffering due to the fact that a lack of everything, no food for\u00a0 people and the sanitation that\u00a0 \u00a0in the country is not good,\u201d he added that,\u201d So, I wish that they should have to work hard in order to make the sanitation of this country to be healthy\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Rose Bakhita, a medical student at UoJ, said the state government should at least help the orphanage students like her whose biological father\u00a0 lost life because of land grabbing and political issue in this country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut, nowadays, things are not easy for us as students. Like, for me, myself, let me talk about myself, because I lost my dad on these issues of land as well as politics, and I don&#8217;t want it to continue like that,\u201d reiterating that, \u201cIf you people are there doing good things, we as students, can also feel comfortable. Even if we don&#8217;t receive anything from there\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In her part, Angel Anei, gave an opinion saying, the governor should change the situation of CES, the burning issues, residents face at large for sustainability of the state.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want them to change the situation where we are in now. No fighting, no tribalism.
