The governor of Central Equatoria State (CES) Emmanuel Adil Anthony has applauded the security forces for their determined efforts that led to peaceful festive season.<\/p>\n

According to the statement from Gubernatorial press Unit, Adil also appreciated the members of the public for their cooperation with the joint forces during Christmas and New year Celebrations.<\/p>\n

\u201cGovernor Emmanuel Adil Anthony has lauded security organs for exhibiting high level of professionalism during the Festive seasons while executing their mandate of maintaining law and order\u201d the statement partly read.<\/p>\n

The governor\u2019s remarked followed peaceful celebration of Christmas and New Year celebrations across Juba and Central Equatoria state at large.<\/p>\n

According to Adil, the peaceful activities and celebrations that occurred during Christmas and new year were linked to the dedication of the security forces in ensuring public safety.<\/p>\n

The governor reiterated appreciation to the entire public for their cooperation in maintaining order among themselves and with the security organs during the celebration.<\/p>\n

\u201cDistinctively, Governor Emmanuel applauded the citizens for their overwhelming support and cooperation with the security apparatus in information sharing\u201d the statement partly read<\/p>\n

He called for continues Collaborations of the security organs and the public in maintaining security as the country moves toward elections.<\/p>\n

The Governor also reassured the general public of the Government’s commitment in restoring total stability in the State and the Country at large as the country prepares for the general elections slated for late this Year.<\/p>\n

Recently Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony urged security forces in Central Equatoria State to uphold professionalism as intensified patrols roll out across Juba ahead of New Year celebrations.<\/p>\n

In a statement from the governor\u2019s office, with New Year festivities approaching, Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony convened an emergency security briefing on Wednesday with commanders of all security sectors in Central Equatoria State.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, Governor emphasized that professional conduct by security forces is paramount to ensuring public trust and peaceful celebrations and unveiled a comprehensive security strategy designed to curb criminal activities during and after the celebrations.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe people of Central Equatoria deserve security organs that act with discipline, integrity, and respect for the law,\u201d Governor Emmanuel stated, calling on the public to cooperate with patrols and checkpoints.<\/p>\n

The State Security Committee reiterated its readiness to guarantee safe and peaceful celebrations across the state.<\/p>\n

The Governor\u2019s call comes against a backdrop of documented concerns about unprofessional behaviour among South Sudan\u2019s security forces. Reports by the United Nations Panel of Experts have repeatedly highlighted misconduct, including arbitrary arrests, harassment of civilians, and excessive use of force.<\/p>\n

Governor Emmanuel\u2019s insistence on professionalism is therefore both a response to public concern and a directive aimed at reforming entrenched practices.<\/p>\n
