Twic East County paramount chief, Manyok Ajak has denied an allegation that he had sign a document removing confident in an elected member of parliament during community conference.<\/p>\n

Addressing media on Thursday, some of the chiefs said that they have not and will not do such adding that the MP was voted by the community who will vote him out during election should there be dissatisfaction.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t write or sign any document concerning MP confident withdrawal and none of my executive chiefs signed the document\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

According to a report, the document was written during TECA annual general assemble last year, on the confident withdrawal from Deng Dau Malek, Member of Parliament (MP) in national level representing Twic East County.<\/p>\n

Manyok said chief cannot withdraw confident on a Member of Parliament elected by community during 2010 election before independent.<\/p>\n

He urged the community to be patient and be ready for the forthcoming election which will be conducted in December this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe can\u2019t withdraw confident from our son in that way, it\u2019s through voting as election will be in December, 2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

Manyok emphasized that the MP can be remove like other political position in the government, stating that it\u2019s through election.<\/p>\n

\u201cDeng can\u2019t be removed like the way politicians been removed in their pollical position; election is coming\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Dut Ajang Dut, deputy paramount chief underscored that his fear was that the paramount chief could say that the document was recommended by executive chiefs to sign on their behalf.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought that the paramount will say, we commended him to sign or write the withdrawal document on our behalf as chief executives of Twic East County\u201d Ajang said.<\/p>\n

Dau Reech Deng, Acting Head Chief of Nyuak payam reiterated that all the community traditional executives of Twic East didn\u2019t sign the document.<\/p>\n

According to Reech, the chief were not politicians to remove or release any Member of Parliament elected with votes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are not politicians\u2019 leaders that remove or release the members, we are governing community, which will be through voting in election\u201d he expressed.<\/p>\n

He mentioned that the government stand with three coats of arm which is the Executive, Legislature and Judiciary.<\/p>\n

He explained the hierarchy of government started from President, Governor, Commissioner and Community chief executives.<\/p>\n

He further stated that the association that wrote the document should be patient and wait for forthcoming election this year.<\/p>\n

The Twic East County in Jonglei state comprises of six payams, with community associations in all the cities and towns in South Sudan and diaspora called Twic East Community Association (TECA) and Twic East Youth Association (TEYA) which is the headquarter in Juba.<\/p>\n

The move to withdraw the MP confidence was cited that the leader was not providing services to the community.<\/p>\n

The community of Twic East has been facing severe floods which needed humanitarian assistants and but all were not done.<\/p>\n

Deng was elected in the 2010 election as MP representing Twic East in the National Assembly and later served as a Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the national government.<\/p>\n
