The East African entertainment scene is heating up after South Sudanese artist Queen Nancy boldly announced her intention to take on Uganda\u2019s trending \u201c<\/strong>Winni Winsha Lakubukubu\u201d dance on 31-January in Juba this week.<\/p>\n

In an exclusive telephone interview with this outlet, Queen Nancy said she is ready to \u201cshake the club\u201d with a fresh dance challenge that will showcase South Sudan\u2019s unique rhythm, fashion, and energy.<\/p>\n

\u201cI respect Uganda\u2019s creativity, but it\u2019s time South Sudan steps forward and shows its own fire. Lakubukubu is hot, but wait until you see what we\u2019re cooking\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

The Lakubukubu dance, popularized by Ugandan dancer and influencer Winni Winsha, has gone viral across TikTok and Facebook, with thousands of young people recreating its fast footwork and playful waist moves.<\/p>\n

The trend that has crossed borders, attracting dancers from Magwi, Torit and Juba will be seen as a battle for peace.<\/p>\n

Queen Nancy\u2019s announcement has sparked excitement rather than hostility, with fans framing it as a healthy cultural competition.<\/p>\n
