The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Monday Semaya Kumba, has paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Central Equatoria State, Emmanuel Adil Anthony.<\/p>\n

The two leaders held high-level discussions on a series of strategic development initiatives aimed at transforming service delivery and infrastructure in Juba.<\/p>\n

In a press statement, the meeting held at the State Government General Secretariat focused on a broad range of priority projects that are expected to enhance diplomatic presence, healthcare, and social services within the state.<\/p>\n

The discussion focused on the allocation of land for the construction of embassies for Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia. This initiative is seen as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties and expand international engagement in South Sudan.<\/p>\n

The leaders also explored plans for the renovation and reconstruction of the Juba Orphanage, with support from a global foundation, aimed at improving the welfare of vulnerable children in the capital.<\/p>\n

\u201cDuring the visit, the two leaders discussed a wide range of issues, including securing land for the embassies of Saudi Arabia and Ethiopia, renovation and reconstruction of the Juba Orphanage by a Global Proven Foundation,” the statement partly reads.<\/p>\n

The discussions also covered the proposed construction of a new headquarters for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Yaru, along with residential apartments to accommodate ambassadors and diplomats.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnother major project discussed at the meeting is securing construction of the Foreign Affairs Headquarters offices in Yaru and residential apartments for ambassadors and diplomats,” the statement added.<\/p>\n

These projects are expected to improve working conditions for diplomatic staff and boost the country\u2019s foreign service capacity.<\/p>\n

The leader not only talked about the development, but also the Healthcare development was also high on the agenda, with both leaders reviewing plans to upgrade Al-Sabah Hospital and construct a modern medical facility with support from the Government of Kuwait. The projects are anticipated to significantly improve access to quality healthcare services in the state.<\/p>\n

Minister Semaya and Governor Adil reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation between the national and state governments to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives.<\/p>\n

They emphasised that such collaboration is vital for delivering sustainable and mutually beneficial development outcomes for the people of Central Equatoria State.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
