The Ministry of Transport has suspended the operations of City Link Airline with immediate effect following a tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of 15 people.<\/p>\n

In an official statement, the Ministry said the suspension is a precautionary measure aimed at allowing a full investigation into the cause of the accident and related operational factors.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis order shall be cited as Ministerial Order No. 007\/2026 for the suspension of the operation of City Link Africa in the Republic of South Sudan until further notice,\u201d the statement partly read.<\/p>\n

The Ministry said the decision is intended to facilitate a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash, including possible human, technical, and environmental factors.<\/p>\n

It added that a designated investigative committee will conduct initial assessments and audits.<\/p>\n

Authorities confirmed that the ill-fated aircraft went down shortly after takeoff, though details on the exact location and cause remain unclear. Emergency response teams were deployed to the scene, where all 14 people on board were confirmed dead.<\/p>\n

A team of aviation experts and investigators has since been deployed to examine the wreckage, review maintenance records, and assess the airline\u2019s operational procedures.<\/p>\n

City Link Airline, a domestic carrier operating several routes within the country, had issued an official statement on the crash and has yet to respond to the suspension.<\/p>\n
