Nyarsuk Patrick James, said the state government is working closely with the state ministry of housing, land, and public utilities and county authorities to digitise land registration and management across Central Equatoria State.

The minister said the initiative is part of broader government efforts to establish a modern and efficient land administration system that will streamline land registration, ownership records, and transfer procedures while strengthening public confidence in land governance.

According to Hon. Nyarsuk, engineers are making significant progress in developing a unified land registration framework that will integrate land applications, registration, and transfer services into a single digital system.

He noted that the reforms are intended to address longstanding challenges, including multiple ownership claims, irregular land transfers, and land grabbing.

He added that the government is also emphasising the centralisation of new land maps to ensure compliance with approved land-use plans.
