Authorities said a third suspect died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound after taking refuge inside a house during the security operation.<\/p>\n<p>The state government praised the security forces and the Monyemiji of Hiyala Village for their professionalism and cooperation, saying their joint efforts were instrumental in the successful operation.<\/p>\n<p>The government also expressed concern over what it described as a growing presence of criminal elements operating in parts of Hiyala Payam.<\/p>\n<p>It called on residents to work closely with security agencies by providing information that could help identify and apprehend suspects involved in criminal activities.<\/p>\n<p>Officials warned that anyone found sheltering or assisting criminals would face legal action in accordance with the laws of South Sudan.<\/p>\n<p>The government reiterated its commitment to safeguarding peace, strengthening public security, and upholding the rule of law across Eastern Equatoria State, while urging communities to continue supporting efforts aimed at combating crime and ensuring the safety of residents.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Louis Loku Security forces in Eastern Equatoria State have arrested two suspects in connection with the ambush on a government advisor&#8217;s vehicle.
