Despite going for months without receiving their salaries, they continue to provide compassionate, quality care to the people of Lakes State,\u201d the statement reads.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the hospital&#8217;s frontline workers continue to perform critical duties, including treating emergency cases, conducting surgeries, assisting mothers during childbirth, caring for children, carrying out laboratory tests, and providing specialised care for premature babies in the Special Baby Unit.<\/p>\n<p>The hospital described the staff&#8217;s resilience and professionalism as a reflection of their commitment to public service.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTheir resilience and professionalism are a powerful testament to the true spirit of public service,\u201d the statement reads in part.<\/p>\n<p>The statement also highlighted the role of the Health Sector Transformation Project (HSTP), which supports Rumbek State Hospital through investments aimed at improving healthcare delivery.<\/p>\n<p>It noted that while the project continues to strengthen the health system through infrastructure development, medical supplies, equipment, and capacity building, it is the commitment of frontline health workers that makes those investments meaningful.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhile investments in infrastructure, medicines, equipment, and health system strengthening continue to improve healthcare delivery, it is the dedication of frontline health workers that truly brings these investments to life\u201d. the statement reads<\/p>\n<p>The hospital further acknowledged the sacrifices made by its staff, saying their commitment has enabled mothers to access safe deliveries, children to receive treatment, emergency patients to receive life-saving care, and vulnerable newborns to survive despite difficult working conditions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYour sacrifice, resilience, and compassion are making a lasting difference in the lives of countless South Sudanese.
