The Central Equatoria State SPLM Chairperson, Cde. Emmanuel Adil Anthony has officially inaugurated a new SPLM County Secretariat office in Yei River County.<\/p>\n

The governor also concluded a two-day training program for party cadres ahead of the December 2026 general elections.<\/p>\n

The inauguration and training formed part of the party’s efforts to strengthen its structures, improve grassroots mobilisation, and prepare members for the upcoming electoral processes.<\/p>\n

Governor Adil conveyed greetings and appreciation from the SPLM Chairman, President Salva Kiir Mayardit, to party cadres and residents of Yei River County for their continued commitment to the party.<\/p>\n

He commended the people of Yei for what he described as their patience, resilience, and unwavering support for the SPLM, urging party members to remain united and disciplined as the country approaches the elections.<\/p>\n

Adil called on SPLM members to actively participate in the party’s internal electoral processes, including primaries and candidate selection, which are expected to begin at the Boma level.<\/p>\n

He also encouraged party members to mobilise communities to participate in voter registration and other electoral activities, stressing the need for peaceful political engagement.<\/p>\n

The governor cautioned SPLM members against internal divisions and conflicts, urging them to prioritise unity, peace, and discipline within the party.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must remain united, peaceful, and disciplined as we prepare for the elections,\u201d Adil told party cadres during the occasion.<\/p>\n

The SPLM State Secretary, Cde. Ann Kaku Samson confirmed the successful completion of the two-day training, which focused on party ethics and strategies for effective grassroots mobilisation.<\/p>\n

She said the training was intended to equip party cadres with the knowledge and skills required to strengthen the SPLM’s presence at the grassroots and effectively engage communities ahead of the elections.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the SPLM Chairperson for Yei River County, Cde. Samuel Batali Malimbo, said the county is prepared for the upcoming elections and pledged continued mobilisation of supporters.<\/p>\n

Malimbo noted that the SPLM has endorsed President Salva Kiir Mayardit as its flag bearer and expressed confidence that the party would receive substantial support during the elections.<\/p>\n

He urged party members and supporters in Yei River County to remain organised and committed to the party as preparations for the electoral period intensify.<\/p>\n

The event also featured a gesture of appreciation from the SPLM Yei River County Disability League, which presented a gift to Governor Adil in recognition of his engagement with party members and the community.<\/p>\n

The opening of the new county secretariat and completion of the cadres’ training come as political parties across South Sudan intensify preparations for the December 2026 elections, including grassroots mobilisation and internal candidate selection.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
