\u200eThe Central Equatoria State Minister of Health, Joyce Bakwa Agole, has reaffirmed the state ministry of health\u2019s commitment to supporting health partners.<\/p>\n

These remarks followed a delegation from the Core Group Partners Project, led by Global Project Director Dr. Hibret Tuahunthe, who paid a courtesy visit to the Central Equatoria State Ministry of Health to brief the leadership on their programs and explore areas for strengthened collaboration in the health sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Minister reaffirmed the commitment of the Central Equatoria State Government to working closely with development and health partners, emphasising that the State Ministry of Health remains committed to supporting partners whose interventions contribute to improving health service delivery across the state,\u201d the statement partly read.<\/p>\n

During their meeting, Dr. Hibret Tuahunthe said the organisation supports a range of activities like global security and development programs, including immunisation, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), Boma Health Workers, maternal health, and support to health facilities, among other interventions.<\/p>\n

\u200e\u200eHe said the purpose of the visit was to strengthen coordination with the State Ministry of Health and identify priority areas where the Core Group Partners can provide support in line with the state’s health needs.<\/p>\n

\u200e\u200eThe Minister of Health, Joyce Bakwa Agole, appreciated the delegation for the visit and recognised the partners’ continued support of immunisation programs and Boma Health Workers, whom she described as the \u201ceyes of the health system at the grassroots\u201d because of their close connection with communities.<\/p>\n

\u200e\u200eJoyce Bakwa further appealed to the Core Group Partners to advocate for the continuous supply of essential medicines, strengthen support to health workers, and expand interventions in maternal health, particularly through community awareness and promotion of skilled birth attendance.<\/p>\n

Central Equatoria State is making a significant stride in improving its health sector through various initiatives and strategic partnerships.<\/p>\n
