Samuel Emiliano Wani Pitia, under Local Order No. 07\/2026, which took effect on September 1, 2026.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">The move follows a resolution by the Central Equatoria State Security Committee and concerns raised by the Juba County Security Committee over public order, security, and the unauthorised activities of some Boda Boda associations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">Under the order, all affected associations, including their offices and branches, have been directed to immediately stop their operations across Juba County.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">The suspended associations are also prohibited from collecting fees from riders, registering new members, or issuing identification cards, permits, or any other documents in the name of their organisations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">Security and law enforcement authorities have been directed to ensure the full implementation of the order, with individuals or groups found violating or obstructing it facing action in accordance with applicable laws.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">The county government said the suspension specifically targets associations operating without legal registration and authorisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">However, Boda Boda associations intending to operate legally have been allowed to submit their registration certificates and other relevant documents to the competent authorities for verification and authorisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">Commissioner Wani called on Boda Boda riders, association leaders, and other stakeholders to remain calm and peaceful and cooperate with authorities during the verification and regulation process.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"isselectedend\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span lang=\"en-SS\">The latest order is expected to affect several Boda Boda associations operating in Juba County without official authorisation as authorities move to regulate the sector and address concerns related to security and public order.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Louis Loku Juba County authorities have suspended all illegal, unregistered, and unauthorised Boda Boda associations operating within the county with immediate effect.
