SPLM political clubs in Yei River County have held a one-day joint dinner aimed at strengthening party unity and encouraging membership registration.<\/p>\n

The event, organised under the theme\u00a0\u201cSPLM Political Club Joint Dinner and Membership Registration Re-Enforcement Programme,\u201d\u00a0brought together more than 300 party members from the Jamia\/Lomuku II area, according to organisers.<\/p>\n

The gathering was led by Yei River County SPLM Chairperson Comrade Samuel Henry Malimbo, who also serves as the county commissioner. He was joined by Senior Adviser Comrade David Juma Augustine and SPLM County Secretary Comrade Ale Satimon.<\/p>\n

Addressing the gathering, Commissioner Malimbo commended the political clubs for coming together, saying the event demonstrated unity and solidarity among SPLM members.<\/p>\n

He urged party members to prepare for the forthcoming elections and exercise their right to choose candidates according to their preferences.<\/p>\n

Mr Malimbo also encouraged eligible residents to register as SPLM members as part of the party\u2019s membership mobilisation efforts, while calling on young people to participate in party activities.<\/p>\n

Senior Adviser David Juma Augustine praised the Jamia-area SPLM club for organising the gathering, describing it as an opportunity to strengthen solidarity among party members.<\/p>\n

Mr Juma said the SPLM should be viewed as a party for all South Sudanese, regardless of tribal or religious background.<\/p>\n

SPLM County Secretary Ale Satimon urged members to understand the objectives of the party, as well as their roles and responsibilities within the SPLM in Yei River County.<\/p>\n

The dinner also brought together members of the Ambororo community in Yei. Abdullah Ibrahim, an elder from the community, said they were pleased to have been invited to the gathering.<\/p>\n

He said the invitation, in his view, demonstrated the party leadership\u2019s commitment to unity and inclusion.<\/p>\n

The event combined social interaction with political mobilisation, with organisers identifying membership registration and the strengthening of party structures as key objectives of the programme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
