The South Sudan People\u2019s Defence Forces (SSPDF) has ordered members of the Agwellek Forces currently in Juba to report to the Terekeka Assembly Area in Central Equatoria State for assembly and integration.<\/p>\n

The directive, issued by the Office of the SSPDF Spokesperson, Maj. Gen. PSC (ET) Lul Ruai Koang, states that reporting for Agwellek forces in Juba will begin on September 15, 2026.<\/p>\n

The order is part of a series of military directives concerning Agwellek forces deployed in different parts of South Sudan.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll members of the Agwellek Forces currently in Juba are hereby ordered to report to the Terekeka Assembly Area in Terekeka County, Central Equatoria State. Reporting will commence on September 15, 2026,\u201d the directive partly reads.<\/p>\n

The SSPDF also instructed Agwellek forces deployed in Greater Tonj, Warrap State, to remain on standby pending the arrival of a Screening and Integration Committee from the SSPDF General Headquarters in Bilpam.<\/p>\n

According to the military announcement, the committee will undertake screening and integration-related activities involving the forces in the area.<\/p>\n

The same directive applies to Agwellek forces stationed at Nyakeen, also known as Bakeer-Wen, in Twic East County, Jonglei State.<\/p>\n

The SSPDF said the orders are intended for immediate implementation and apply to all Agwellek forces operating under the overall command of Lt. Gen. Johnson Olony Thabo, Assistant Chief of Defence Forces for Disarmament and Mobilisation.<\/p>\n

The assembly, screening, and integration process comes as security authorities continue efforts to organise forces and implement military arrangements under the country\u2019s peace and security framework.<\/p>\n

The movement of forces to designated assembly areas is expected to allow the authorities to establish the strength and composition of the units before further integration into the national security structures.<\/p>\n

The SSPDF has directed all concerned personnel to comply with the orders and report to the designated locations as instructed.<\/p>\n

The military leadership is expected to continue coordinating the process through its General Headquarters and relevant committees responsible for screening, disarmament, mobilisation and integration.<\/p>\n

The directive also places responsibility on commanders of the Agwellek forces to ensure that their personnel comply with the latest instructions and remain available for the screening and integration process.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
