{"id":48125,"date":"2026-09-22T16:33:31","date_gmt":"2026-09-22T14:33:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/?p=48125"},"modified":"2026-09-22T16:33:31","modified_gmt":"2026-09-22T14:33:31","slug":"meteorological-service-forecasts-rainfall-in-wes-western-bahr-el-ghazal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/09\/22\/meteorological-service-forecasts-rainfall-in-wes-western-bahr-el-ghazal\/","title":{"rendered":"Meteorological service forecasts rainfall in WES, Western Bahr el Ghazal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Sabri Dibaco <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The South Sudan Meteorological Service (SSMS) has forecast moderate rainfall of between 30 and 100 millimeters in parts of Western Equatoria and Western Bahr el Ghazal states between 23 and 30 September 2026.<\/p>\n<p>According to the weekly weather forecast, moderate rainfall is expected in southern parts of Nzara and Ezo counties in Western Equatoria State, as well as some parts of Raja County in Western Bahr el Ghazal State.<\/p>\n<p>The meteorological service also forecasts light rainfall of less than 30 millimeters across most other parts of South Sudan during the same period.<\/p>\n<p>The forecast map indicates that rainfall will vary across the country, with some areas receiving little or no significant rainfall while parts of western and southern South Sudan are expected to receive higher amounts.<\/p>\n<p>SSMS is advising the public to stay informed and prepared by following official weather updates, particularly in areas expecting moderate rainfall.<\/p>\n<p>The forecast covers the period from 23 to 30 September 2026 and is intended to help communities, farmers, humanitarian agencies, and other stakeholders prepare for possible weather-related impacts.<\/p>\n<p>Weather forecasts are important for communities in South Sudan, where rainfall can affect agriculture, roads, transport, and access to services.
