{"id":48189,"date":"2026-09-23T16:14:59","date_gmt":"2026-09-23T14:14:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/?p=48189"},"modified":"2026-09-23T16:14:59","modified_gmt":"2026-09-23T14:14:59","slug":"health-yei-civil-hospital-receives-new-digital-x-ray-machine","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/09\/23\/health-yei-civil-hospital-receives-new-digital-x-ray-machine\/","title":{"rendered":"HEALTH: Yei Civil Hospital receives new digital X-ray machine"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>By James Innocent<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u200eYei Civil Hospital has received a new digital X-ray machine donated by the Nzuri DAIMA Foundation to support diagnostic services at the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eThe equipment was handed over on Tuesday morning in Yei in the presence of Yei River County Commissioner Samuel Henry Malimbo, the County Executive Director, the Director of the County Health Department, and other health officials, alongside representatives of the Nzuri DAIMA Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eCommissioner Malimbo thanked the foundation for the donation and called on medical authorities to ensure the equipment is properly maintained to extend its operational life.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eHe said the hospital, which was designated as a regional referral hospital earlier this year, could use the equipment to improve access to diagnostic services for patients from Yei and surrounding areas.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eMalimbo also said the county government was working to ensure that qualified health workers are available to operate and manage the equipment.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eThe Executive Director of Yei, Hillary Lokudu, praised the organisation for donating the civil hospital with the machine, which is Paramount, to the community.<\/p>\n<p>\u200eSimon Musoga commended the Nzuri DAIMA Foundation for working with the hospital and the wider Yei community.
