{"id":48886,"date":"2026-10-15T12:31:07","date_gmt":"2026-10-15T10:31:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/?p=48886"},"modified":"2026-10-15T12:31:07","modified_gmt":"2026-10-15T10:31:07","slug":"murder-a-woman-stabs-mother-in-law-in-nbgs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.onecitizendaily.com\/index.php\/2026\/10\/15\/murder-a-woman-stabs-mother-in-law-in-nbgs\/","title":{"rendered":"MURDER: A woman stabs mother-in-law in NBGS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><em>By Hou AKot Hou<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>18-year-old woman has allegedly killed a 40-year-old woman by stabbing her with a knife in the stomach after having a quarrel at Abuu Village in Madhol Payam in Aweil East County in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State on Sunday in October.<\/p>\n<p>Police Spokesperson Madut Ngong Aleu told this publication that the incident happened after the 18-year-old woman identified as Adhel Majak Ngor allegedly stabbed the mother-in-law with the knife on Sunday, 11 October, at Abuu Village.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat happened is that the woman, who is aged 18, had a quarrel with the mother-in-law after questioning the young woman, who is 18 years old, as to why she winnows the sorghums and sells them away. On hearing that, the young woman picked up the knife and stabbed the mother-in-law in the stomach, leading to her death immediately,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p>He said the deceased is identified as Abak Mawein Dhel, stabbed in the stomach by her son\u2019s wife, who is identified as Adhel Majak Ngor.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe woman who has killed the person (mother-in-law) has been detained, and the cause of this homicide is a familial dispute, a matter that became a dispute that forced the young woman to kill her mother-in-law,&#8221; he stated.<\/p>\n<p>He urges the local community members to restrain themselves once the situation is too volatile.<\/p>\n<p>Ngong urges the local people to remain peaceful and avoid the use of forceful means in resolving the disputes through violent approaches, saying the suspects will be arraigned in court.<\/p>\n<p>This latest report raises eyebrows among the residents of the area, as young mothers have been blamed for getting out of the norms, as some don\u2019t handle the disputes in traditional approaches as they act violently.<\/p>\n<p>Officials urge the resolution of the conflicts through the settings of the local chiefs as well as through local police units instead of going emotional and picking up weapons straight away.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Hou AKot Hou 18-year-old woman has allegedly killed a 40-year-old woman by stabbing her with a knife in the stomach after having a quarrel at Abuu Village in Madhol Payam in Aweil East County in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State on Sunday in October.
