The South Sudan National Movement for Change (SSNMC) has opened nominations for its upcoming primary elections.<\/p>\n

The movement announced the exercise through a public notice issued by its Office of the Electoral Commission.<\/p>\n

Interested members can collect nomination forms from the national secretariat at authorised SSNMC state offices.<\/p>\n

The commission urged all aspirants to follow the electoral guidelines, meet nomination requirements and respect deadlines set by the relevant electoral committee.<\/p>\n

The primary elections will allow members to compete for leadership positions and participate in shaping the movement\u2019s future direction.<\/p>\n

SSNMC encouraged members to participate actively, emphasising the importance of a free, fair, transparent and democratic electoral process.<\/p>\n

In a message accompanying the notice, Mogga Charles Guya, the movement\u2019s Secretary for Foreign Affairs, urged candidates to approach the elections with integrity, humility, discipline and a commitment to public service.<\/p>\n

Guya said elections should not be viewed merely as a contest for power but as an opportunity to demonstrate leadership, vision and dedication to serving the people.<\/p>\n

He called on aspirants to uphold democratic principles, promote unity and contribute to building a peaceful, just and prosperous South Sudan.<\/p>\n

Guya also urged candidates to respect one another and avoid allowing political competition to undermine unity within the movement.<\/p>\n

He noted that although members may contest for different positions, they remain part of one organisation with a shared national mission.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet us compete with dignity, campaign with integrity, and lead with responsibility,\u201d Guya said, urging aspirants to place the interests of the movement and the country above personal ambitions.<\/p>\n

He added that SSNMC\u2019s strength would depend not only on electoral victories but also on the integrity, competence and commitment of its leaders.<\/p>\n

The Electoral Commission advised members seeking clarification to contact the relevant SSNMC electoral committee for further information.<\/p>\n
