Does it mean the bank will clear all the money in the name of sustainability?

Why should ordinary people be forced to look for money in the streets and commercial markets instead of accessing it through legitimate banking institutions?

This situation raises serious questions about the country’s monetary management, banking system and the availability of cash in circulation. Citizens should not have to pay extra simply to access the currency of their own country.

The government and relevant financial authorities must explain what is happening and take practical measures to restore public confidence in the banking system.

A national currency should serve the people, not become another business opportunity at their expense. South Sudanese deserve a functioning banking system where their money is accessible, protected and respected.

The issue of joking with the South Sudan pounds on the streets while they are not accessing will lead to frustration to the citizens. The government must strategise and solve the matter promptly.

Why should the South Sudanese Pound (SSP) be turned into a commodity openly traded in the market, while citizens struggle to access their own money through commercial banks?
