The police authorities in Aweil, Northern Bahr el Ghazal state are investigating three suspects arrested for killing a 6-year-old girl in an erotic rape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Police Commissioner in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State, Major General Philip Madut Tong said the incident happened on 3rd<\/sup> May, 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the police official, the deceased girl was reportedly raped by a suspected 42-year-old Sudanese businessman.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maj. Gen. Madut stated that the three suspects are in detention for investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe suspects were residing in the same compound with the family of this child. There were three men who lived in one house which they rented. One of them committed the act and threw the child in the pit latrine after she died. The mother of the deceased was away. When she arrived home, she didn\u2019t get her child. She started asking but no one told her the child\u2019s whereabouts until she found her in the latrine. According to post-mortem conducted in Aweil main hospital, the child was raped from behind until she died,\u201d the Police Commissioner said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the incident, some angry youths particularly the relatives of the deceased stormed Aweil main market and started beating the Sudanese traders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maj. Gen. Madut said when they heard the incident; police were deployed instantly in the area to control the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said the security situation was stable, after the suspected culprits were arrested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, the State\u2019s Police Commissioner appealed to everyone in the state to peacefully address their problems through the concerned authorities instead of violence. \u201cAlthough it was a big crime, people have to forward the case to the police authorities but the good thing is that, no person was injured,\u201d Madut said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
