Let us produce what we eat\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;\u201cWe are going to declare every Friday commencing, 24<sup>th<\/sup> -June-2022 as a half working day till the end of the cultivation season. If we constantly focus and embark on agricultural activities, then dependency on foreign imports will reduce and we shall all overcome hunger to best of our level\u201d Governor Adil emphasized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe need to embark seriously on agriculture to become providers ourselves not being provided. We mostly depend on foreign import which is strictly affecting our agricultural sector and decreasing our standard of living to state of being relaxed instead of producing\u2019\u2019 he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Adil further promised his government\u2019s commitment towards boosting the agricultural sector to ensure positive and continuous production to boost subsistence and commercial services to a high level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He encouraged farmers to continue farming as farming season has commenced in almost all the areas in the State.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Council further listened to a recited report on the return of cattle herders into their places of origin noting with great concerns that the passage of the herders was progressing well and re-directed those still roaming around to vacate within the shortest period of time possible before government pushes for tougher measures.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Bida Elly David The Governor of Central Equatoria State has called on the people of South Sudan and most particularly those in Central Equatoria State to fully engage in agricultural activities and produce what they eat as the only remedy to food security in the country.
