Dr. William Samoei Ruto.

Jacob Wuoi Mach, a business man dealing in Forex exchange among other businesses said President elect Ruto is a close family friend with 18 years working together.

“I organized this party to celebrate our win, and to show solidarity to William on how he fought for democracy in Kenya, I and Ruto are one thing, we are family friends,” Jacob revealed.

According to Wuoi, having met William Ruto in 2004 through business, he has been together with him in all elections and also severally visited Sugoi, where they discussed a lot.

He said despite reports that William is a corrupt man Jacob instead called it envy on successful people adding that Ruto has been engaging in a lot of businesses which people have failed to understand hence calling him sorts of names.

“His engagement in lots of business sends doubts to people calling him corrupt, I can tell you he has been insuring our lives and cars through his company and also supported me in my distribution of bottled soda in Eldoret,” he added.

Jacob has however advised South Sudanese people to invest in friendship by engaging people, be it in business, government and all walks of life.

“I want to tell our South Sudanese people that lets not associate ourselves when rich but let’s be together when poor then later when you gain something you will know there was a journey,” he advised.

He said he and Ruto did not have anything before but now they can say they have something because they were able to interact with friends.

He noted that with William being at the helm of power, business people from South Sudan are going to benefit a lot, he however noted that he(Ruto) need to fulfill his agenda as a hustler [Kenya kwanza] starting with Kenya.

“Before William gets to the hustlers across the border he will have to fulfill the interests of Kenyans, being a good business man there is a lot of business South Sudanese can do with Kenyans,” he added.

Jacob added that having grown and studied up in Kenya, his relationship with many people in Kenya will bring prosperity to the country and a boom in business.

Many South Sudanese people had previously engaged and shown keen interest in following Kenyan elections, however when Jacob was asked what South Sudanese should learn from the just concluded elections he says South Sudan is a young country with different type of politics.

“For elections we have a wide gap between Kenyans and South Sudan because we are still a young country, you can’t compare us to Kenya which has about 50 years of independence what we are experiencing they went through the same if we can’t compare our politics with Kenya,” he noted.

Jacob also asked young South Sudanese leaders to learn from Kenyan politics.

“What I can tell our young South Sudanese is, we need to ensure that position is for everyone as William says,” he advised.

Kenyan President William Ruto is set to be sworn in on Tuesday according to Interior principal secretary Karanja Kibicho, a member of the assumption committee, who confirmed in a press conference that open invitations had been sent out to Kenyans and a number of dignitaries will grace the event.

“We are expecting that we will have about 60,000 Kenyans on Tuesday. President Uhuru Kenyatta will also be there physically to hand over,” said Dr. Kibicho. “The programme of the day is expected to start at about 7am and the gate will be opened to the public at 4am. The protocols of the day are being worked on by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Kenya Defense Forces,” he added.

South Sudan, sent its congratulatory message to Kenya’s president elect immediately after he was declared a winner by the IEBC in a hotly contested race between Ruto and Raila.

The inauguration ceremony of President-elect William Ruto will be at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani on Tuesday.

By Staff Writer A South Sudanese business man on Saturday organized a surprise party in Sherikat, a suburb of Juba city to celebrate the win of his longtime friend and Kenya’s President elect H.E.
