The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement (SPLM) has officially launched a massive membership registration and mobilisation campaign in Eastern Equatoria State as part of efforts to strengthen its grassroots structures ahead of South Sudan’s December 2026 general elections.
The exercise was officially flagged off in Torit by the SPLM State Chairperson, Cde. Louis Lobong Lojore, who called on party members to actively participate in the registration drive to reinforce the party’s presence across the state.
In Magwi County, the registration exercise began with several senior party members enrolling, including County SPLM Chairperson Cde. Lam Francis Gabriel, Cde. Dr. Margaret Ito, Cde. Dr. John Oryem, Cde. Peter Otim Carlos, and Cde. Ruth Marius Buga, among others.
According to the party leadership, the countywide registration and mobilisation campaign will soon be rolled out across all payams, bomas, and villages in Magwi County to expand the party’s membership and enhance grassroots participation ahead of the upcoming elections.
