The Governor of Eastern Equatoria State, who also doubles as SPLM State Chairman, Louis Lobong Lojore, has donated motorbikes to the SPLM County Secretariats in Kidepo and Kauto to strengthen party operations and enhance grassroots mobilisation ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
The handover, conducted in Torit on Wednesday, is aimed at improving coordination, communication, and the implementation of party programs at the county level.
Governor Lobong said the donation reflects the SPLM leadership’s commitment to strengthening its structures across Eastern Equatoria by providing county offices with the logistical support needed to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
He noted that reliable transport is essential for party officials to reach communities, mobilise members, and coordinate activities, particularly in remote areas where access remains a challenge.
The governor emphasised that strengthening county secretariats will improve the party’s engagement with local communities and ensure that its programs are implemented more efficiently as preparations for the general elections gather momentum.
He reaffirmed the SPLM’s commitment to equipping its grassroots structures with the necessary resources to better serve party members and the wider public across the state.
The donation forms part of ongoing efforts by the SPLM leadership in Eastern Equatoria State to strengthen party structures and improve organisational capacity in readiness for the country’s upcoming general elections.
