Eastern Equatoria State Governor Louis Lobong Lojore has relieved Dr. Concord Etin Emrrib of his position as Director General of the State Ministry of Health.
The decision was contained in a gubernatorial executive order issued on Monday evening and subsequently announced through the state broadcaster, Voice of Eastern Equatoria 97.5 FM.
The executive order did not provide specific reasons for Dr. Emrrib’s removal from office.
In a separate executive order, Governor Lobong appointed Dr. Amin Gordiano Okwahi Tapeng as the new Director General of the State Ministry of Health.
Dr. Tapeng is expected to assume responsibility for the ministry’s administrative and technical operations following his appointment.
The leadership changes come as the state health sector continues to oversee the delivery of essential health services across Eastern Equatoria.
