The Sudan People’s Liberation Movement’s (SPLM) Secretary General has relieved Lake’s state party secretary, Asunta Bauda James, and appointed Abraham Mayen Kuc as her successor.
This change was made in an order seen by the No. 1 Citizen Daily English Newspaper on Thursday.
“The Secretary General’s order No. 008/2026 for the appointment of the SPLM State Secretary for Lakes State, 2026 A.D,” the order partly read.
“In exercise of powers conferred upon me under Article 28(1)(m) of the SPLM Constitution 2008 (as amended 2016). I, Cde. Dr. Akal Paul Kordil, Secretary General of the SPLM, do hereby issue this order for the appointment of Cde. Abraham Mayen Kuc as the SPLM State Secretary for Lakes State, with effect from 7th October 2026,” the order continued.
According to the order, this order shall be cited as “the Secretary General’s order No. 008/2026 for the appointment of the SPLM State Secretary for Lakes State 2024 A.D. and shall come into force on the date of its signature by the Secretary General of the SPLM.
