Members of the SPLM Political Bureau and Liberation Council in Eastern Equatoria State have unanimously endorsed Governor Louis Lobong Lojore as the party’s candidate for the governorship in the 2026 general elections.

The endorsement was made during the Martyrs Day Commemoration in Torit, announced by the Party’s Secretary General in the State, Akileo Mbuya, in the presence of the entire public.

Akileo urged the county and national members to endorse Lobong as a flagbearer for the governorship in the state.

All the national and county party liberation members expressed confidence in Lobong’s leadership and pledged their full support for his re-election bid.

The Political Bureau and Liberation Council described the endorsement as a demonstration of party unity and commitment to maintaining stability, peace, and development in Eastern Equatoria ahead of the December 2026 general elections.

The leaders urged SPLM members and supporters across the state to remain united, strengthen grassroots mobilisation, and actively participate in the electoral process to ensure the party’s success in the upcoming polls.
