By Ijoo Bosco

Four children from the same family remain missing after they were reportedly abducted by unknown persons in Omeo Boma, Magwi County, Eastern Equatoria State.

The incident reportedly occurred on Friday afternoon while the children were in a garden with their older siblings.

Omeo Head Chief Okeny Gabriel Gino said the older children fled home after noticing unfamiliar people approaching the garden, raising an alarm that led to a community search.

According to the chief, the suspects allegedly seized four children—three girls and one boy aged between four and eight—and fled the area.

Local youths pursued the suspected abductors but were unable to catch up with them or rescue the children.

Chief Okeny said there had been no reports of suspicious strangers in the area before the incident.

He has appealed to residents to remain calm and vigilant, urging anyone with information about the children or suspected abductors to immediately alert local authorities.

The whereabouts of the four children remain unknown as community members and authorities continue efforts to trace them.
