The defense has submitted its response to the prosecution’s submissions on an application concerning security threats to the accused persons and members of the defense team.
The Court has set September 30, 2026, to deliver its ruling on the applications.
The development came during the 117th court session, which was convened for the defense to present its comments on the prosecution’s response to the application.
During the proceedings, Dr. Geri Raimondo Legge handed the Défense’s written comments to the Court and provided a copy to the Prosecution.
The prosecution acknowledged receipt of the document and urged the court to reserve the matter for ruling.
Judge Dr. James Alala Deng said the court was considering the concerns raised regarding the security threats and would deliver its ruling on the application on Wednesday, September 30.
The court did not issue a ruling during the session, instead setting the matter for determination on the scheduled date.
At the close of the proceedings, Judge Stephen Simon announced the adjournment of the session until September 30, 2026.
“The session is adjourned to 30 September 2026, when the court will come and make the decision on the applications,” Judge Simon said.
The court is expected to reconvene on September 30 to deliver its decision on the applications.
