President Salva Kiir Mayardit has sworn in Dr. Moua Moti Moua Korok as the new Undersecretary of the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, urging him to uphold the laws of South Sudan, strengthen institutional performance, and work closely with colleagues to improve the delivery of judicial services.

During the swearing-in ceremony, President Kiir emphasised the importance of discipline, teamwork, and respect for the country’s established laws, charging the newly appointed official with the responsibility of helping improve the ministry’s operations.

“The President also linked the appointment to the government’s policy of equitable distribution of opportunities among South Sudanese communities, welcoming Dr. Moua’s inclusion in the country’s public service leadership,” the statement read.

The appointment comes as the ministry carries the responsibility of providing legal services, supporting constitutional affairs, and contributing to the administration of justice in South Sudan.

Dr. Moua is a seasoned member of the Ministry of Justice and one of the most experienced counsel generals.

According to the press unit, his extensive experience, deep knowledge, and understanding of the ministry’s work make him ‘the right person in the right place at the right time.

President Kiir’s message placed emphasis on two key expectations: improved performance within the justice ministry and adherence to the laws governing the country.
