Security arrest four culprits over market attack in Jebel Boma

The Authorities in Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) said at least four suspects have been apprehended on Wednesday by the security apparatus following a market attack last week.

According to government spokesperson in Pibor, a Market at Jebel Boma was attacked by the suspected attackers last week, an incident which led to the killing of two people.

Speaking to No. 1 Citizen Daily Newspaper, Hon. Jacob Werchum, the Minister of Information in greater Pibor administrative area said the four culprits are being investigated toward the incident and will thereafter be arraigned at the court for hearing.

‘’ Well, on the side of security, you must be aware that recent attack which involved the market, the security initiated the crack and the investigated the incident. The four people have been apprehended yesterday by the security and are now at Police Custody following investigation.’’ he stated.

He stated that the government of greater Pibor administrative remains committed into realizing lasting peace within GPAA and her neighbours.

“Pibor is doing her best to contain security in the area. Actually, there are issues of Cattle raiding and revenge killing being reported in the area but we are committed into maintain the security and peace” he said.

Hon. Jacob emphasised that GPAA has been experiencing multiple cases of cattle raiding and revenge killing within Pibor, however, he said the security has been relatively calm in Pibor for the past two weeks.
