Sermon Title: Jesus Christ Is the Prince of Peace in Heaven and on Earth, and the Responsibility of Peace in South Sudan Has Been Entrusted to Dr. Salva Kiir Mayardit by God’s Chosen People Since Eternity
Romans 5:1–11
Dear brother and sister in our Lord Jesus Christ,
Welcome to the fold of our living God, here in beloved South Sudan. The God of our father Abraham, the God of our father Isaac, and the God of our father Jacob has blessed this morning with grace for His chosen people in South Sudan since eternity past. May you be well and in good health.
Beloved brethren, I would first like to point you to this grace from the Holy Bible, as you prepare your hearts spiritually in your daily lives with faith and trust in God alone, who has no partner.
A Brief Overview:
Jesus Christ is the Prince of Peace in heaven and on earth. The responsibility of peace in beloved South Sudan has been entrusted to Dr. Salva Kiir Mayardit by God’s chosen people since eternity.
Indeed, as God’s people, we are in need of peace—spiritual peace and love in our hearts. This is the truth: if there is no love of God among us, then there is no peace between us (you and me), because God is love, and at the same time, He is the Prince of Peace in heaven and on earth for His chosen people since eternity—especially for us today in beloved South Sudan.
As the Bible says in Philippians under the title “Rejoice in the Lord Always,” Philippians 4:6–7:
- Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
- And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
And as the main verse on peace with God says in Romans 5:1–11:
- Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Through Him we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.
- Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance;
- perseverance, character; and character, hope.
- And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.
- You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly.
- Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die.
- But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- Since we have now been justified by His blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through Him!
- For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to Him through the death of His Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through His life!
- Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
In Conclusion, Beloved Brethren:
May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
