THOSE WHO CROWN KINGS DON’T LOOK LIKE KINGS THEMSELVES

By Ustaz Mark Bang

Where on Earth does one believes in the sense of being independent even those who are well off need help from anyone. I experienced ignorance once I was offered job to teach in one of the secondary schools in Wau. My first experience was in ignorances, students were saying why is it that this young boy is called to teach senior four students not knowing I was a graduate of the college? Does it mean that they’re no teachers? Later I was left with only four students in my class. However, I continued presenting what I had gained at the college. When they later see how the teaching goes, they regretted and all took their decision to join my class. I had been seeing at this last days of the Earth’s history. There are ignorance, intimidation, corruption, nepotism, tribalism, and a lot of wars and conflicts. Many coups, election rigging, insurgencies, manipulation of public resources, terrorism and power struggle continue to submerge. But know this, to gain more followers one needs to take the responsibility to serve not be served, be a servant not not master.

Man, being a social animal can’t deny the fact that it is equally important to have social relationships . When we interact we get to know about different human behaviour, their perspective of looking into things , gaining different experiences, there are so much of our hidden emotions and behaviour we get to know when we build relations with other. It’s more about evolving and discovering your own self. We communicate, build relations, form a connection , try to maintain it and during the whole process we learn so much about our own selves. Spend one day monotonously packed inside your room with all the necessary stuff inside, the idea might excite that no need to learn about people anymore as maxim of them gave you some bitter experiences only but I bet you can’t live more than two -three days like this , without interacting! The idea of being alone and lonely scares me!

But every coin has two sides , it totally depends on you how and what you choose to see. Don’t get too attached and dependent on society and relations that you unable to handle situation on your own. No one is going to be with you till the very end , you need to accept this harsh reality. So build strong connection , be their for your favor people, give your best but be strong enough to let go off them if it comes in your or their’s way of happiness. Life is all about this!

Once there there was this poor man who wrote a book at the age of 40 and decided to launch it on his Birthday. He had no money to fund the launching and so, he decided to seek help from a millionaire in his community. He made a visit to the Millionaires home and after they exchanged pleasantries, he told his host what brought him. The Millionaire told him to take out a piece of paper and pen. He said, ” I will give you a test. If you pass it, I will give you the money you need and if you fail, I will still give you the money” He then told him to write down the names of 10 people who could give him 10k each for his book during the launch. Surprisingly, the man could not write even 3 names. Now, take a glass of water and let me tell you something..It is not enough to have talent and skills. You must understand the power of building valuable relationship. It was a wise man that said, your network is directly proportional to your net worth. Relationship is a currency. Relationship is a stream of income. Everything in this life actually reproduces on the basis of relationship. See eh, Who likes you in this life matters. Men are lifted through men. Many of us are talented but we lack a cup bearer to tell the King that there is a Joseph that can interpret dreams. Who you know matters a lot in this life. Don’t say it doesn’t matter. It does. There are heights and opportunities you will never attain if you don’t understand the power of Keeping Valuable Relationships. When they say, turn and greet your neighbour in church/mosque at times, you don’t even know who you are talking to. That might be the CEO of a company. But sometimes, we despise people based on their outward looks and judge them wrongly. Have this wisdom am sharing with you. That person you sit with in class, or the colleagues at work that you look down on, may be the ones that will lead you to your destiny helper because you have no idea who they know. Sometimes, it takes just a recommendation to change your story. Don’t despise men in Life. You will need them one day. Sometimes those who crown Kings don’t look like kings and may never become kings but they can help you wear the crown. Again, Shut the door of relationship gently you may need to use it tommorow. There is nowhere honouring comes but unless cultivated by the spirit of sacrifices done unto others, when hands that beg come give it, falling lift them up, crying stand with and wipe their tears and comfort, walk, talk sit and jubilate in away that comfort someone. Stop teasing, laughing at poor people, naked and blind people for people are reason as to why you could be somebody in future.

Socialization is the lifelong process by which individuals learn, internalize, and reproduce the values, norms, roles, skills, language, beliefs and behaviors necessary to function within their social groups and society at large. It encompasses formal instruction, informal imitation, and experiential learning across family, peers, schools, media, workplaces, religion, and other institutions.

In Conclusion, Socialization is the mechanism by which individuals become functioning members of society and by which society perpetuates culture, norms, and institutions. It shapes identities, capacities, and inequalities at the individual level and sustains order, cohesion, and institutional continuity at the societal level. A concept that describes the process in which an individual (is forced to) learn to fit in with her social and cultural environment. This process happens in different stages, according to sociologists, following the child’s development with family, peers, teachers, larger society and so on. A few agents of socialization include: family, school, media, cultural texts.

This process can be conscious and subconscious, like the child picks up on her/his parents talking pattern, she/he knows that she/he needs to learn to behave a particular way. This process can also be very violent when socialization acts in an imposing way, teaching individuals values that are the norma but going against individuals’ own self interests or experiences. “PUBLIC STAUNCHEST ALLY”.
