Advocate Aggrey Duku Arkangelo has been declared the winner of the election for the position of Chairperson of the Central Equatoria State Youth Union (CESYU) for the 2026–2030 term.
The announcement was made by the Central Equatoria State Electoral Committee following the successful conclusion of the 3rd State Youth Convention
Following the election results, the Commissioner of Juba County, Samuel Emiliano Wani Pitia, extended his warm congratulations to Aggrey Duku Arkangelo on his victory.
In a congratulatory message issued from the Juba County Headquarters, Commissioner Wani Pitia stated that the outcome of the convention reflects the confidence and trust that the youth of Central Equatoria State have placed in the newly elected chairperson.
He expressed optimism that Aggrey will provide visionary leadership and effectively champion the interests, aspirations, and empowerment of young people across the state during his tenure.
The Commissioner further called upon youth leaders, delegates, and stakeholders to unite behind the new leadership in the spirit of cooperation, unity, and collective service aimed at advancing the development agenda of Central Equatoria State.
He also commended all candidates, delegates, and organisers for conducting a peaceful, democratic, and successful convention, describing the process as a demonstration of political maturity and a strong commitment to youth participation in governance.
The election marks a new chapter for the Central Equatoria State Youth Union as it seeks to strengthen youth engagement, leadership, and development initiatives across the state over the next four years.
